Artist's Statement

I am an artist who is constantly being inspired and challenged by the physical environment around me.

The tension to create a manifestation of what my mind's eye sees and the physical limitations of the world around me dictates and drives my creativity. I strive to overcome the challenges and rejoice in the solutions. There is no greater satisfaction than to create a finished piece that physically reflects what I have imagined!

My media of choice is clay; It has all the primordial properties that I need to express myself. I love the texture and malleability that it offers, and how it reacts to the firing process that perminently changes its existence.

All of us are given an inherent talent. That talent is who we are. To exist in peace and harmony, we have to live our lives exercising that talent. In my studio, that is what I do.
